Frenulum Breve or short frenulum is the shortening of the tag of skin that attaches the glans (head of the penis) to the foreskin and thereby limiting the full movement of the foreskin. This is a very disconcerting problem which can lead to discomfort and pain. A short frenulum can often tear during sexual activity or can even cause premature ejaculation. The condition is either congenital or can be caused by excessive scar tissue formation following a frenulum tear.
